A meeting with Mr Viktar Jaznievich, the owner of Belarus' only complete book collection of the world-famous writer Stanisław Lem, will be held at "The Universe of Stanisław Lem" exhibition on November 11.

The participants of the event will have an opportunity to take an author's tour by a lemologist, collector and translator. Join him on a journey through the writings of the famous science-fiction writer, philosopher and futurologist Stanisław Lem, and learn about the specifics of the collection, the most interesting items and anniversary editions.

It starts at 16.00. We will be meeting the participants from 15.45 to 16.00 in the lobby of the National Library of Belarus.

Admission is by the library card or by the Social and Cultural Centre ticket (cost 1.50 rubles).

One-man band

From September 22 to November 21, the Music and audiovisual documents reading room (305) will host an exhibition called "The One-Man Band" in honour of Conductor Aleksandr Anisimov, the Belarusian people's artist, who turns 75 this year.
