The event was organized by the virtual reading room in the frameworks of the series of seminars on information resources using on the Web of Science platform. On March 1, 2018 the presentation took place in Gomel: in Francysk Skaryna Gomel State University and Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Radiation Medicine and Human Ecology.
The seminar was attended by more than 100 representatives of university teaching staff, postgraduates and undergraduates, medical workers.
Vyacheslav Brichkovsky, representative of the National Library of Belarus, represented the advantages of using the resources and services of the virtual reading room in the information support of research and educational processes, as well as with the innovative model of scientific communications – the movement of Open Access to Electronic Information Resources.
Irina Tikhonkova (Clarivate Analytics) represented the information products of the Web of Science platform, and also highlighted the most relevant topics for the university libraries users: algorithms for searching and analyzing scientific information on the platform, creation and interpreting reports of publications and citations, creating personal author's profiles of scientists in ResearcherID, approaches to selection and evaluation scientific journals for the placement of scientific publications.
