The New Year’s event for the staff of the National Library took place on December 30.

Talented employees of the “Knowledge Diamond” acted in a fascinating performance based on the fairy tale by E.T.A. Hoffmann The Nutcracker and the Mouse King. The famous Belarusian actor Alexander Abramovich played Grandfather Frost.

Together with the fairy-tale characters, the audience chopped the Krakatuk Nut, watched the war with the Mouse King, enjoyed the drummer's show “Foxy Beat,” performances by the artists of the Menada Dance Theater and the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theater, and also traveled around the library along with the main character of the New Year’s show – the Nutcracker.

Godfather Drosselmeyer, also known as the director of the National Library Roman Motulsky, entered the stage. He presented a gift to Godmother Maria and congratulated those present on the New Year's holidays.

The show ended with a touching and inspiring song about the New Year’s miracles.

Happy New Year, Dear Colleagues!
