The traveling exposition “Reading Together, Understanding  Each Other” represents art books by modern authors of the States members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). It is hold from May 23 on the 3rd floor.

Literature is a figurative reflection of a person’s life and society. It expresses epochs and their unique features, views, thoughts and ideas that are essential and important for the people.

The exhibition “Reading Together, Understanding  Each Other” is part of the program of the Year of the Book in the CIS. The works by writers from CIS countries are presented in the national libraries, cultural and educational institutions in Moscow, Nur-Sultan, Dushanbe, Baku and other cities.

Nine Commonwealth countries donated 56 publications for exhibition. These are the books of modern authors, as well as writers who worked at different times, but were actively published today due to the relevance of the sound and the particular popularity of their works.

This exposition allows to join in the comprehension of the creative work of the writers of the CIS member states and will help to better understand today's life, the values ​​and aspirations of our neighbors.

The exposition is addressed to high readership and visitors of the library.


The exhibition will last until June 20, 2019.
The end date of the exhibition can be changed.

The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
