From February 11, 2009, in the Documents of International Organizations Reading Room (2nd floor, room 207g) is open an exhibition timed to the International Mother Language Day (February 21).
Materials displayed at the exhibition reveal the urgent issues of international cooperation and legislation in the field of the language policy, promotion of language and cultural diversity, globalization and safekeeping of languages in the XIX-th century.
At the exhibition are displayed over 60 materials in Russian, Belarusian, French and German languages: books, brochures, mimeographed materials of the UNO, periodicals, booklets published by international organizations.
We invite to the exhibition linguists, philologists, workers of cultural and art institutions, historians and everyone who is interested in language and cultural diversity of different peoples.
The exhibition is open till March 15, 2009.
