A subject book exhibition timed to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus (July 3rd) runs at the National Library of Belarus (in the circular hall on the 2nd floor) from June 29th to August 31st.
On the eve of the republican holiday the National Library of Belarus offers the exhibition “Belarus Today”.
The exposition includes editions containing a comprehensive coverage of the history of the Belarusian State, the current state of the country, its social, economic, scientific and cultural achievements, foreign policy and external economic links.
The exhibition reflects the best traditions of the Belarusian people and the unique natural resources of the country. Visitors can see the latest editions published by Belarusian publishing houses in the last three years.
There are several subject sections as follow:
- section “Country Belarus” includes editions on the history of the country, social and political literature on the current state of the republic and development prospects;
- section “The lovely images of the native land” is dedicated to Belarusian nature, national parks and forest reserves;
- section “The modern portrait of culture and art of Belarus” exhibits books on the cultural and historical heritage of Belarus, architectural monuments and sights; encyclopedias, photo albums and booklets that build a positive image of our country.
The exhibition is designed for all who is interested in the development and current state of Belarus.
