On November, 22nd, during the official visit to Belarus, the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by the Attorney-General of Iran Mohammad Jafar Montazeri visited the National Library of Belarus.


The deputy director of the National Library of Belarus Elena Dolgopolova held a guided tour, during which she acquainted the guests of honor with the library’s information resources and services.

Members of the delegation visited an exhibition of Iranian literature. The guests were especially interested in the manuscripts which are on display at the Book Museum and stored in the heart of the library, the "Diamond" storage facility.

By visiting the President Centre, the Observation Deck and other noteworthy places, the guests could appreciate the library’s architectural features and design, and also its opportunities of a social and cultural center.

At the end of the meeting the parties exchanged memorable gifts.

The Belarusian Notary Chamber and the National Library of Belarus: keeping history together

On June 5, in the Hall of Educational Technologies of the NLB, within the framework of the previously signed agreement on cooperation in the field of information activities between the Belarusian Notary Chamber and the National Library of Belarus, a solemn transfer to the library's collections of a unique publication dedicated to the stages of the formation of the institute of notary in the Belarusian lands took place.

Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
