On February 25th at 5 p.m. in the gallery “Rakurs” takes place the presentation of the new book by Belarusian poet Andrei Skorynkin published within the framework of the series “The Library of the Union of Writers of Belarus”.


Andrei Skorynkin (born on December 20th, 1962 in Minsk) is the author of 16 books of poems, member of the Union of Writers of the Union State, deputy chairman of the section of poetry of the Union of Writers of Belarus, corresponding member of Cyril and Methodius Academy of Slavonic Education, and the first exhibitioner of the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for support of talented youth. The poet will present the new book which includes his best works created during his thirty-year-old creative activity. The book has already been highly appreciated by authoritative literary critics.

Andrei Skorynkin is the author of a novel in verse, two audiobooks, and numerous books of collected poems and romances, children’s books etc.

A number of his poems have been set to music by different composers and are performed at concerts. Record companies have edited three albums of music works based on the author’s poems.

On May 16, participants of the National Library of Belarus project "On the wave of time throughout life" visited the Uzden Central District Library named after Pavlyuk Trus, where they took part in the literary and musical festival "On the paths of bright spring.." dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the poet, member of the association "Maladnyak", native of Uzden region Pavlyuk Trus (1904-1929).
