On April 16, 2009, the Embassy of Bulgaria to the Republic of Belarus presented to National Library of Belarus a book collection.
At suggestion of the committee of directors of the association “Bulgarian Book” and on personal initiative of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria, professor, PhD Petko Dimitrov Ganchev a book collection which had been displayed at the XVI-th International Book Fair “Books of Belarus – 2009” (February 2009, Minsk) was handed to National Library of Belarus.
At the ceremony Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bulgaria, professor, PhD Petko Dimitrov Ganchev, Director of National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky, and candidate of philology, professor of Bulgarian language of Belarusian State University Krassimir Ivanov welcomed the guests.
The Library received new publication (120 items), among them – 7 works by Petko Dimitrov Ganchev, books on international private law, ecclesiastical law, Bulgarian legal profession, philosophy, and art. The ceremony was part of cultural cooperation and traditional friendly relations between Belarus and Bulgaria.
