Employees from the National Library of Belarus' Information Center's Bibliography Research Department attended the National Library of the Republic of Karelia's 17th Scientific Conference, "Local Lore Readings - 2023", on February 15.

The conference was held in honour of two milestone anniversaries in 2023: the 190th anniversary of the National Library of the Republic of Karelia and the 320th anniversary of Petrozavodsk.

The section "Library Local Lore" included presentations by Natalia Barsukova, Chief bibliographer of the Bibliography Research Department, who delivered a speech titled “Online Encyclopedia ‘Belarus in persons and events’ is a  source of information about the life and activities of famous Belarusian local lore specialists", and Tatiana Lagosh, Head of the section of Bibliography Research Department, who delivered a speech titled “Heritage of Belarussian local lore specialists in electronic resources of public libraries".
