A seminar "Marketing in the Modern Library: New Opportunities and Technologies" for managers and specialists of district and city central libraries of Mahiliou region was held on October 27 in the Mahiliou Regional Library named after V.I. Lenin.
Ms Maryna Pshybytka, Head of the Bibliology Research Department, and Ms. Natalia Karniejchuk, Head Librarian of the same department, curator on methodological support of the Mahiliou region libraries, represented the National Library at the event online.
Ms Maryna Pshybytka presented a comparative analysis of the country's libraries, introduced the seminar participants to the "Recommendations on methodological support of public libraries of the Republic of Belarus" (in Russian) developed by the National Library in 2021, the decision of the board of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus "On organizing the work of public libraries. Problems, Prospects, Ways of Development”, outlined the key trends in the development of librarianship in the Republic of Belarus.
The participants identified priority areas for methodological work in libraries.
