On March 16th in the gallery “Panorama” of the National Library of Belarus took place the grand opening of the exhibition of the experimental studio “Cherpaniy Papir”.
The experimental studio “Cherpaniy Papir”, created in 2005 in Lvov (Ukraine) on the basis of the Center of Creativity of Galich Children and Youth, presented 40 works of art performed with the use of the “scooped paper” technique.
The exposition displays the new ways of use of paper in the modern art. The originality of this technique is that multicolored liquid paper mass is used for creation of an artistic image.
Fyodor Yastreb, the Head of the Gallery-exhibition department of the National Library of Belarus opened the event. Head of the studio “Cherpaniy Papir”, artist-pedagogue Victor Khadzhinov; Candidate in Art History, docent of the chair of art theory and history of Belarusian State Academy of Arts Evgeniy Shuneyko; pupils of the studio “Cherpaniy Papir” and authors of the exhibited works Marina Lazaruk and Valentina Bero took the floor on the opening day of the exhibition.
The exhibition is open till April 14th in the gallery “Panorama” (the indoor observation platform on the 22nd floor). Entrance to the Observation platform is paid.
