On December 13, an international conference was held to mark the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Iran.
At the opening ceremony of the forum, Rector of the Belarusian State University Andrei Korol and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Belarus Alireza Sanei addressed the participants and guests of the conference. Mr. Sanei spoke about the history of the development of relations between our countries and also drew attention to the high level of potential and opportunities in the economic, cultural, educational and scientific fields of interaction.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus, the Scientific Research Economic Institute of the Ministry of Economy, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus made reports on the prospects of Belarusian-Iranian cooperation.
The National Library of Belarus (NLB) was represented at the conference by Hanna Kavalenka, Chief Librarian of the International Relations Sector, with a message on cooperation between the NBB and the National Library and the archive of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The conference was organized by the Belarusian State University and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Belarus.
