A Meeting with a Lawyer: the rights and benefits for people with disabilities

On January 27, the National Library of Belarus and the Belarusian Republican Collegium of Lawyers conducted a meeting with a lawyer. This month’s theme was “To live like everyone else: the rights and benefits for people with disabilities”.

A lecture was delivered by the lawyer of Minsk Regional Bar Association, Zarina Zalevskaya.

The meeting highlighted the legal issues, within the framework of the current legislation of the Republic of Belarus, related to persons with disabilities: legal protection of families raising disabled children; benefits for employers; remuneration of employees with disabilities, as well as other issues, which aroused a lively discussion among the audience. Listeners asked questions and received competent and detailed answers from the specialist.

The event also featured a thematic exhibition of publications from the collections of the National Library of Belarus. The exposition ran in the legal information room (207b).
