An exhibition timed to the 100th anniversary of the October Revolution runs in the National Library (the exhibition space on the 3rd floor), from 3 November to 31 December.
The offered exhibition presents nearly 40 book publications and cards, which reflect the most iconic celebrations of the Revolution’s jubilees, from 1917 to 2017. In selecting the material for display, preference was given to the national document.
The exposition begins with the unique historical and cultural documents, issued on the territory of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine thorough the year 1917. Publications of the propaganda series Krasny podarok soldatu (Red Gift to the Soldier) and Biblioteka velikoy russkoy revolyutsii (The Great Russian Revolution Library) are presented.
The exhibition also features the works by famous personalities of culture and literature: Petro Glebki, Petrus Brovka, Vladimir Basalyga, Vladimir Sholka, Vladimir Mayakovski, Mikhail Zoschenko, Evgeniy Kibrik and others.
Two publications on display are winners of the highest award of the republican contest "Art of the Book" – the Francysk Skaryna Diploma for an excellent decoration and printing mastery.
