From March 20, 2009, to April 19, 2009, in the Music and Audio Materials Reading Room (room 305) is open an exhibition “Sounds that bring the light” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Russian composer and pedagogue Edison Denisov (1929–1996).


The exhibition includes music and audio materials – vocal and instrumental works, concert for a violin with orchestra, ode for a clarinet, sonata for a flute and guitar and other works by the composer, as well as books and articles dedicated to Edison Denisov’s life and career from the collections of National Library of Belarus.

The Belarusian Notary Chamber and the National Library of Belarus: keeping history together

On June 5, in the Hall of Educational Technologies of the NLB, within the framework of the previously signed agreement on cooperation in the field of information activities between the Belarusian Notary Chamber and the National Library of Belarus, a solemn transfer to the library's collections of a unique publication dedicated to the stages of the formation of the institute of notary in the Belarusian lands took place.
