On September 16 at the gallery “Panorama” of the National Library of Belarus took place the opening of the photo exhibition titled “Parallels” of French photographer Thierry Clech and Belarusian photographers Olga Loyko and Victor Baykovsky.
The pictures of Paris, Minsk, Grodno, Gomel and other cities united by the concept of the identity of a city and a city resident are displayed in the exposition.
The project which introduces the Belarusian art of photography into the European context and promotes international relations in general and communication between photographers in particular, will also create the basis for new joint initiatives.
Head of the Gallery and exhibition department of the National Library of Belarus Fyodor Yastreb, art critic Evgeny Shuneyko, writer Naum Galperovich, Belarusian photographers Olga Loyko and Victor Baykovsky took part in the event. Moderators of the event Julia Novik and Vika Trenas held an Internet-conference with French photographer Thierry Clech.
The exhibition runs up to October 6.
Entrance is paid. The cost of entrance is equivalent to the cost of a visit to the Observation platform of the National Library of Belarus.
