The opening of the exhibition of Dzmitry Surynovič’s paintings "Metaphor in Images" took place in the gallery "Labyrinth" on September, 3.

The event was organized by the National Library of Belarus and the graphics gallery "Book Saloon". The exhibition features more than forty works of the artist, made with acrylic, and a new series of watercolors.

Dzmitry Surynovič is a painter, graphic artist, watercolorist, art director of animated films. His works are in collections in Italy, Spain, Israel, Germany, Finland, France, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, the USA and Japan.

In Belarus, his works are in the collections of the National Art Museum, the Museum of Modern Fine Arts in Minsk, Vitebsk Art Museum, Polotsk Art Gallery.

Painting has become for Dzmitry another creative novation. The result of his work is evident – the artist received the diploma of the 1st degree at the International Biennale of modern painting "Colorfest" (2008).

The works of Dzmitry Surynovič have a lot of peculiarities – extreme fluidity of watercolors, simplicity of composition and the depth of understanding of the artistic processes. Painting turning into color melts and lives its own life, separate from the forms.

Creative thinking in the artist's watercolors is so bright that he is called the best Minsk watercolorist.
