2024 – The year of quality

In order to further improve the quality of life of the Belarusian people, ensure the competitiveness of the national economy on the world stage, stimulate initiative, form responsibility for work results in society and a sense of belonging to the future of the country, the President of the Republic of Belarus declared 2024 the Year of Quality. The corresponding Decree No. 375 dated November 27, 2023 was signed by the Head of State Alexander Lukashenko.

By Resolution No. 41 of January 16, 2024, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus approved the republican action plan for the Year of Quality.

Within the framework of the Year of Quality, the National Library of Belarus organized and conducted a number of scientific, cultural, educational projects and events.

In the Year of Quality, the National Library provided remote access to digital copies of documents from its collections by implementing a project to create an automated system "Electronic Library of the National Library of Belarus".

On March 2, the library hosted a thematic tour "Gukanne viasny" (Calling of spring) from the cycle "Slavutyi imeni Batskayshchyny" (Outstanding names of our Motherland), dedicated to the Year of Quality.

From March 14 to 17, the library took part in the XXXI Minsk International Book Fair.

From March 26 to April 30, the Mobile Gallery (3rd floor) hosts the book and illustrative exhibition "High Quality".
