The jubilee exhibition “The Power of the Native Land”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Belarusian writer Kazimir Vikentsievich Kameisha, takes place from December 2 to January 2 in the Hall of Belarusian literature (room 205).

Kazimir Kameisha undoubtedly holds one of the first places in the poetic polyphony of modern Belarusian literature. The main themes of the writer's work are love for the Motherland, a man of work, and the unique nature of the Nalibok region. In his works, he seeks to touch on the most acute problems of our time, focuses the reader's attention on the primordial values of man: love, kindness, nobility.

The exposition opens with a section where library visitors have the opportunity to get acquainted with the literary heritage of the writer. His works are widely represented here in separate editions and collections. Among the exhibits is the first collection of poems “Autumn calls“(“Восеньскія позвы”), collections “Membrane” (“Мембрана”), “Nectar” (“Нектар”), “My springs are moored here” (“Тут мае вёсны прычалены”), “Main verst” (“Галоўная вярста”), “From Kromani to Svityaz” (“Ад Кромані да Свіцязі”) “Apple tree of rest” (“Яблыня спакою”), etc. The fruitful work of the hero of the day in the field of children's literature is evidenced by books for children: “Gajowka” (“Гаёўка”), “Storknest” (“Буслянка”), “Hello, chauffeur” (“Добры дзень, шафёр”), etc. The literary activity of Kazimir Kameisha deserves special attention: he studies the works of M. Bagdanovich, M. Maliayka, A. Pysin, etc., makes reviews, critical articles, and essays.

The activities of the writer as an editor and translator are widely represented at the exhibition. Visitors of the exhibition can get acquainted with his translations from Russian, Polish, Lithuanian, Georgian and other languages.
