On the second of June the Panorama Gallery (22 floor) hosted a photo exhibition “The Taste of life” on the 25th anniversary since foundation of the Belarus Research Center for Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Immunology (+video)
Photo exhibition the “Taste of life” is about the beauty of the human who undergoes a chemotherapy course, about life despite uneasy circumstances of disease and treatment, about possibilities, strength, struggle….Exposition presents 13 photo histories of patents from the Belarusian research center for pediatric oncology, hematology and immunology.
Photo histories of Elizabeth Balaban, Yaraslava Tkachova, Miraslau Shauchuk, Milany Abramovich, Habiby Kalandaravai and other heroes tell how they accept themselves, how they accept their appearance after it has been changed due to chemotherapy, how they struggle with difficulties. Photos display their personality, unrepeated features, character, and internal life. The Exhibition, photo sessions are a kind of a type of the art therapy for people who has suffered the most complicated experience and who are able to feel the taste of life, joy, hope and love… During photo session, the folks have opportunity to boost their self-evaluation and find resources in themselves to continue treatment and be adopted after oncology.
Veranika Suprun, one of the models, was the author of the project. Among co-founders were photographers, make-up artists, hair designers, florists and directors of photo studios. All of them treated the project enthusiastically and participated in it on charitable base.
The purpose of the exhibition is to change the society’s stereotypes in respect of oncology patients and create a positive image without the awkwardness respecting the beauty, strength and personality of each of them.
The price of Exhibition visit includes the price of the Observation Deck visit.
Working hours of the Exhibition match the working hours of the Observation Deck.
The Exhibition works until 24th November, 2022.
