The exhibition "Quotes Shop" will open on November 13 in the library.
The exhibition is organized by the National Library of Belarus and the Polish Institute in Minsk.To brew a mug of coffee with a Bulgakov’s quote, to sunbath in a lounge chair with a portrait of Kokhanovsky or walk around in a T-shirt with Kafka: all this is possible thanks to the "Quotes Shop" project by designer, photographer and theater critic Darya Meltsazhevich. The girl is interested in literature and design: she puts her favorite statements and their portraits of famous people on posters, as well as on a wide variety of items of daily use.
At the exhibition, the visitors will see 30 quotes in a graphic design. Among them there are the statements by Adam Mitskevich, Bruno Schulz, Vitold Gombrovich, Henryk Senkevich, Maria Konopnitskaya, Maria Skladovskaya-Curie, Constants Ildefons Galchinsky, Stanislav Lem, Edward Stachura, Julian Tuwim, Jan Kokhanovsky and other famous personalities.
At the opening of the art exhibition the exhibition of books from the collections of the National Library of Belarus will be held. This exhibition will represent works by the authors, both the original issues and the translated copies in Belarusian or Russian.
The event will begin at 16.00 in the "Rakurs" gallery (3rd floor).
The exhibition will last until February 4th, 2019.
The end date of the exhibition and the gallery can be changed.
The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
