" The Warmth of Humanism ", an exhibition timed to the 80th anniversary of the Belarusian writer and the Ivan Melezh Literary Prize laureate, Leonid Leonovich (Leonov), runs in the Belarusian literature room (205), from September 4 to October 3.

The exhibition includes more than 60 publications, most of which are numerous works of Leonid Leonovich: novels, novellas, short stories, plays, essays and sketches. The author’s main theme is the home, the family and the post-war village. His original style is characterized by journalism, adherence to tradition and the variety of motifs from the tragic to the ridiculous.

A particular exhibition section presents Leonovich’s works translated into Russian and Ukrainian.

Critical essays by Belarusian researchers (Gennady Shupenko, Aleksey Ragulya, Dmitri Bugaev and others) allow learning more about the writer’s life and work.

All books presented at the exhibition are available in the e-Catalog.

The opening hours of the exhibition corresponds to the library’s opening hours.
Entrance to the exhibition is available by the library ticket or ticket of the library's social and cultural center.
