The photo exhibition "Golf is an Olympic sport" will be open on April 25 at 12.00 in the "Panorama" (22nd floor) gallery.
It’s organized by the National Library of Belarus and the Belarusian Golf Association.
The exhibition shows the golf development in Belarus and introduces the works dedicated to this Olympic sport, taken by the famous photo artist Stepan Nadolsky.
Golf competitions at the Summer Olympics were held only twice - in 1900 and 1904, then they were canceled. Only after 112 years, golf returned to the list of candidates for inclusion in the Olympic program and was presented at the XXXI Summer Olympic Games in 2016.
The adoption of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of January 29, 2007, No. 56 "On the construction of a sports and tourist golf complex in the Minsk region" has become the starting point for the development of golf in Belarus. It determines the need to create conditions for international sports competitions and golf classes for all ages . The sport and tourist golf complex was built in the Minsk region, it’s a golf course of the champion class of the international standard and a golf training center.
You can enjoy the aesthetics of golf, reflected in photos by Stepan Nadolsky, till July 25, 2018.
The closing day of the exhibition can be changed.
From April 26 the exhibition is free of charge but you need a ticket to the Observation deck.
