On April 24, the library is organizing a seminar and a cultural and educational event dedicated to the World Book and Copyright Day, as well as the World Intellectual Property Day.
At 10 a.m. a seminar "Copyright: Legislative Norms and Practical Application in the Republic of Belarus" will be held.
Heads and specialists of the National Center for Intellectual Property, the National Center for Legislation and Legal Studies of the Republic of Belarus, the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Belarus, representatives of the "Antiplagiat" company, as well as employees of scientific, educational and information institutions of the country will take part in the seminar.
At 3 p.m. a cultural and educational action "Masters of Belarusian culture. Vladimir Kondrusevich” will be held in the "Labyrinth" gallery. It will be dedicated to the composer's creative work. During the event the rights to use digital copies of his handwritten sheets in the information resources will be transferred to the National Library of Belarus.
Vladimir Kondrusevich, the author of music for more than 200 plays and 23 films, the winner of the State Prize of the Republic of Belarus in the field of literature, art and architecture, for creating music for the ballet "Mephisto", musicals "Glass of Water", "Julia" "Sofya Golshanskaya", "Biker" will be the guest of honor of the event. The musical "Sofia Golshanskaya", staged at the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theater, was awarded the National Theater Award.
In the framework of the cultural and educational event the guests will see performances by Natalia Gaida, the People's Artist of Belarus, actress of the operetta theater, the soloist of the Belarusian State Academic Music Theater; Alexey Dudarev, Belarusian playwright, screenwriter, honored art worker of the Republic of Belarus; Elena Turova, director of animation and feature films of the National Film Studio "Belarusfilm", scriptwriter, poetess, assistant professor of the Film and Television department of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts; Alexander Shakutin, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OAO AMKODOR, the ideological mastermind and creator of the "Spamash" producer center.
Visitors of the event will hear fragments from musical works performed by Vladimir Kondrusiewicz and the belarusian stage stars of the "Spamash" production center.
A book exhibition will allow visitors to get acquainted with the life and works of the famous Belarusian composer.
