The updated version of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, adopted at the republican referendum on February 27, 2022, is of great importance. It enshrines such universal values as man, his rights and freedoms, sovereignty, democracy, the rule of law, social justice, equality of all before the law. The obligation of the citizens of the Republic of Belarus to preserve the historical memory of the heroic past of the Belarusian people, cultural and spiritual heritage is prescribed.

The book and documentary exhibition was prepared jointly with the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus and includes about 60 documents reflecting the chronology of the preparation and adoption of the Constitution of our state, amendments and additions to it in connection with political, socio-economic and cultural changes.

Among the publications from the Fund of the National Library of Belarus are original printed copies of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus of different years, scientific and methodological collections on the law enforcement of the Basic Law of the State and constitutional law of the Republic of Belarus, as well as current publications in the periodical press.
