On April 4, the opening of the exhibition "From the Neman to the Pacific Ocean: the history of travel and geographical research" took place in the exhibition complex (room 104) of the library.
The exhibition is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Belarusian Geographical Society and the 90th anniversary of the Faculty of Geography and Geoinformatics of the Belarusian State University.
The exposition consists of two main sections and provides a visual representation of the formation of geography in our country and the contribution of famous pioneers from Belarus, immortalized in textbooks and geographical maps of the world. Among the exhibits are rare books, maps and prints of the XIX century, as well as modern thematic scientific and popular science literature, portraits and brief biographical information about famous Belarusian travelers and geographers from the collections of the National Library, a collection of maps of the Belarusian Geographical Society, geodetic equipment from the collection of Viktor Nikandrovich Veksin.
As part of the opening, the presentation of three books "Geographers of Belarus. Biographical reference book", "Pruzhany region on old maps", "Pruzhany cooking: 76 unique recipes".

The exhibition will be on display until April 21, 2024.

Admission is by the library card or by the social and cultural center ticket.
