С From May 5th, a thematic exhibition timed to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory runs in the Book Museum. Newspapers and leaflets from the collection of underground and partisan press of the Great Patriotic War are on display.

The exhibition created within the bounds of the project “We glorify the greatest feat” is dedicated to one of the most tragic and tremendous pages in the history of Belarus – the people’s struggle for the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945.

The most part of the exhibition is newspapers and leaflets from the National Library’s collection of underground and partisan press of the Great Patriotic War.

The exposition includes unique self-made hand-written and typewritten magazines created in partisan camps, issues of underground editions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, regional Party and Komsomol committees, partisan formations etc.

Along with underground and partisan press the exhibition features editions from the “Big Land” .

Also the exposition includes a number of leaflets of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, the government of the republic and underground regional committees with appeals to destroy fascist aggressors, to expand partisan movement, to conduct an active struggle at the rear of the enemy (1942–1944). Leaflets of 1942 with graphic illustrations and rhymed captions are especially interesting. A part of them are dedicated to heroes of partisan movement (А. Kirillov (1942), М. Silnicky (1942), V. Kurilenko (1942) and others) and their operations.
