A scientific and practical seminar "In the Footsteps of the Maladnyak Members" was held on January 27 in the International Press Center of the library. The seminar dedicated to the 135th anniversary of the birth of Zmitrok Byadulia and the 120th anniversary of the birth of Mikhas Zaretsky.
The initiators of its realization were the National Library of Belarus, the State Museum of the History of the Belarusian Literature, the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art, and the Publishing House Zvyazda (Star) (Maladosts magazine).
The scientific and practical seminar was held within the framework of the joint project "On the Wave of Time, Throughout the Life", which has been successfully implemented for two years. Mr Alies Susha, Deputy Director General - Director for Research and Publishing of the National Library of Belarus addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
Partners of the project made speeches at the event as the representatives of organizations. Elina Sviridovich, the Head of the Scientific and Educational Department of the State Museum of the History of Belarusian Literature, reported on the activities of the joint project "On the Wave of Time, Throughout the Life" in her institution for 2020, as well as on plans for 2021. Svetlana Votinova, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Maladost", publishing house "Zvyazda" presented an overview of the publications of the magazine dedicated to the literary association "Maladnyak" over the past year.
An unforgettable moment of the event was a video recorded specially for the seminar by the son of Zmitrok Byaduli, Efim Samuilovich Plavnik, who reminded everyone present of the important event for Belarusians, the reburial of the remains of Zmitrok Byadulia in our country, which took place on November 3, 2020.
In conclusion, the need for further cooperation between institutions and researchers was noted within the framework of the joint project "On the Wave of Time, Throughout the Life".
