On September 27, the library hosted a seminar "Storage of Documents in an Organization: Creation and Operation of an Archive, Selection of Documents for Storage and Destruction".
The event was organized by the National Library of Belarus and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus.
The seminar was attended by specialists responsible for paperwork in cultural institutions. There are employees of the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, the Belarusian State Museum-Archive of Literature and Art, the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus and other organizations of the industry.
Elena Bykova, Head of the Organizational Work and Document Management Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus opened a seminar and reported on the organization of the work of archives of state organizations subordinated to the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus.
The leading archivist of the general department of the National Library of Belarus Yana Plyashkevich made a presentation of “Experience of the Archive of the National Library of Belarus: Creation and Organization of Work”.
Finally Tatyana Shevchenko, Head of the Office Management and Formation Department of the National Archival Fund of the National Archive of the Republic of Belarus reported on “Documentation support of management and organization of the work of the archive in a state organization”.
At the end of the seminar the participants took part at the tour around the “diamond of knowledge”, during which they saw the archives of the main library.
