On May 15, the XXV International specialized exhibition "Tibo" was opened in Minsk-Arena. Representatives of the leading Belarusian and foreign telecommunications and IT companies, state organizations and enterprises gather at an authoritative international platform to exchange the best practices in the field of information technologies.
Taking part in the collective stand of state bodies, the National Library presented a new Internet portal and information services, erasing the boundaries between the library and a modern online user.
The presentation "One Day in the Internet Portal Life" introduced virtual services, resources and library projects that can be used from any access point twenty-four-hour.
The presentation "Advertising on the Building of the National Library of Belarus" showed the possibilities of the biggest advertising medium in the country, which has the widest scope of the audience. Another presentation, "Tutorial Videos about our Resources and Services", was about an online collection of video tutorials that allow you to easily and clearly understand the numerous resources and services of the library.
The guests of the exhibition have also learned about the new possibilities of "Electronic Document Delivery Service", modern technologies of searching information in the online version of the electronic catalogue and such new services as editing of a research work bibliography and writing of a thematic bibliography.
"Checking Papers for Plagiarism" is one more presentation. Visitors learned what kind of documents can be checked, which information systems are used and how to order the service without leaving home.
The "Virtual Projects" and "Virtual Legal Information Center" of the National Library of Belarus, as well as the corporate factographic information resource "Scientists of Belarus" were presented.
Within the framework of the TIBO exposition the presentations of the National Library services will also take place on 16, 17 and 18 May.
