On 12 September, a festive event "With the book we open the world" timed to Libraries Day was held in the Children’s Room.
Children got known with the history of the book, beginning from rock paintings to modern book printing. They played active games and participated in the contest with puzzles on the motives of their favorite fairy tales. They taught Dunno from Flower City to treat with the book. The children transformed into various book characters. They made as a keepsake a bright "little caterpillar" – a bookmark for reading their favorite books.
At the end of the holiday the children became the participants of a fabulous expedition through the Library. After studying magic card "The Book Planet", the children went from "The Land of the Children’s Holidays" through "The Ladder of Silence" to "The Transparent Island". Then the travelers crossed "The Crystal Bridge" to "The Island of Creativity" with an exposition of art works. Coming back from the expedition, the children visited "The Ball of Desires".
All participants got gifts that added vivid and memorable impressions of the event.
