Kids from the nursery No. 257 in Minsk became participants of the "Museum readings", which started with Belarusian folk fairy tale Два маразы (Two Frosts) rewritten by Yakub Kolas.

Organizers of the "Museum readings" in the framework of the project "On a Visit to Books" try to revive a tradition of reading aloud, make the process of reading in Belarusian popular.

Другое чытанне для дзяцей беларусаў by Yakub Kolas became an important stage in the creative work of the writer and in the development of Belarusian children literature. The book includes 11 rewritten Belarusian tales.

At the lesson boys and girls read a tale Два маразы (Two Frosts). It was interesting to read the book. Children learned how to distinguish colors, as there were two frosts, two brothers, the frost the blue nose and the red nose. In the tale the frost hardly got out of a man’s straw shoe. A modern child doesn’t understand what it is. At the lesson kids saw the shoe and even learned how to put it on, like a man in the tale did.

Little listeners became researchers and compared the text, decorations of 1910, 1965 and 1990 editions.

The creative task allowed children to show their individual abilities and make a handmade picture.

Let’s read books together!
