The National Library of Belarus runs a charitable campaign “The book is a source of wisdom, knowledge and science, medicine for soul”.

Libraries of social institutions will be given printed editions for increase of funds in the framework of the project.

The name of the campaign takes its roots from the depths of the centuries, from the philosophical thoughts of our famous first printer Francysk Skaryna, who in such a way noted the book's exceptional role in the development of mankind.

The campaign runs during 2017 in the framework of the national celebrations of the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book printing. Outstanding Belarusian publishing houses and information institutions, including “Беларусь”, “Мастацкая літаратура”, “Право и экономика”, “Попурри”, “Vladimir Grevtsov’s agency” participate in this campaign.

We invite other organizations and also those who wish to join the noble campaign of popularizing books and reading.
