Date: April 27–28, 2017.
Place: National Library of Belarus.
Specialists of libraries and museums are invited to participate.
A guide should in limited time demonstrate an example of work, especially their approach and its peculiarities and teach it their audience. A workshop may be complemented by a theoretical overview of current issues and technologies, but the main thing is to convey techniques of work. The marathon of workshops will end in a discussion on the results of the overall activities of the experts.
Workshops can be organized in the following way:
- A workshop close to open lessons with an invited audience, e.g. children, when a guide holds lessons and demonstrates methodology, and experts of libraries and museums observe the process.
- A workshop close to an imitation game, when experts of libraries and museums are students, listeners have two roles – of students and of experts.
A marathon of workshops is a unique opportunity to see and listen to famous experts at one place, get answers to urgent questions, demonstrate innovative ideas, originality of an approach, ability to improvise, level of influence on audience, readiness for widening and popularizing of experience.
