The National Library of Belarus collective expresses its deepest condolences to the relatives and friends of Alexander Mikhalenya, who has passed away on June 4, 2018.
Alexander Mikhalenya had made an invaluable contribution to the formation and development of culture and librarianship of the country. In 1983 he headed the collective of the State Library of the BSSR named after V. Lenin, having headed it until 1990. In his work he was always an ascetic, tirelessly and selflessly serving the cause of society.
