On February 27 the library was visited by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia Alexander Gajovic.
The visit took place within the framework of participation of the Serbian delegation headed by Alexander Gajovic, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia in the events of the XXV Minsk International Book Fair. This year, Serbia is an honored guest of the anniversary book forum.
Roman Motulsky, director of the National Library of Belarus held a sightseeing tour for the guest, during which he represented him the history of the institution, architecture and information resources of the main book depository of the country.
The key points of the tour were the Round Hall, the observation deck, the Book museum and the exhibition of holography art works "Education. Cognition. Progress". The exposition not only reflects the achievements of Belarusian scientists in the field of holography, but also represents the history and culture of Belarus. There are the treasures from the collections of the National Library of Belarus: museum values, Great Patriotic War attributes, Christian relics, old printed publication "The Bible" by Francysk Skaryna (Prague, 1517–1519), "The Gospel" by Peter Mstislavets (Vilna, 1575), "New Testament and Psalms" (Kutein, 1652). At the end of the meeting Roman Motulsky presented a memorable gift to Alexander Gajovich.
