A delegation of specialists from the Russian State Library visited the National Library of Belarus in the framework of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement on November 14-16. The meeting was devoted to the library space organization, use and maintenance of a building.
The delegation included Advisor to the Directorate N. Sakharov, Deputy Head of the Library and Information Services department N. Davydova, Deputy Head of the Operational and Safety department A. Frolov.
The program of the professional visit included familiarization with the storage system for books and specialized funds, user services, engineering systems.
The guests also learned about the social and cultural activities in the library: the organization and holding of events, presentations, tours, exhibition projects.
The tour around the library with a visit to the observation deck and the museum of the book was held.
A meeting of Russian colleagues with Belarusian specialists allowed to discuss the possibility of implementing joint projects and prospects for further cooperation.
At the end of the visit, the guests from the Russian State Library expressed their gratitude to the staff of the National Library of Belarus for the warm welcome and reliable partnership, as well as the firm belief in further successful cooperation.
