On September 11 a tour "Outstanding People of the Motherland" was organized for 20 Chinese students from the Belarusian Study Centers in China at the National Library of Belarus. Young people are participants of the 6th International Educational Project "Summer School-2019. Get to Know Belarus: From Education to Culture".

The tour was dedicated to the Belarusian first printer Francysk Skaryna. During the tour, students learned about the life path and publishing activities of the famous Belarusian, read with great interest a passage from the Bible by Francysk Skaryna translated into Chinese, and in the museum books were able to see the originals of Skaryna's publications. At the end of the tour, guests gone up to the observation deck to enjoy a bird's eye view of Minsk.

We are pleased to invited you to the teaching tours "Outstanding People of the Motherland". Both adults and children are welcome. The tours are devoted to the life and work of Mark Chagall, Maxim Bahdanovich, Kandrat Krapiva, Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, Mikhas Zaretsky, Yanka Mavr, Francysk Skaryna, Vladimir Karatkievich.

Students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National library

On April 18, the students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music visited the National Library of Belarus as part of the environmental education and upbringing program. They got acquainted with the thematic book exhibition "Water is a wonderful gift of Nature" dedicated to World Water Day. The exposition is presented in the documents of international organizations reading room (room 207 g).

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
