On December 28th, the library was visited by Vera Kukhareva, director of the publishing house Ediciones Irreverentes in Madrid. She donated a unique book by Maxim Bogdanovich.
In 2017 in Spain the collection of selected poems by Maxim Bogdanovich Sounds of my Motherland (Згукі маёй Бацькаўшчыны, Ecos de mi tierra) was published in two languages (Belarusian and Spanish) for the first time. The project auther is Vera Kuharava, director of the Spanish publishing house Ediciones Irreverentes, which affairs she leads with her husband, the Spanish writer Miguel Angel de Rus. Vera Kukhareva is a Belarusian, graduated from the Belarusian University of Culture and has lived in Spain for many years.
The Translation of Bogdanovich’s poems was made by Angela Espinosa Ruiz. This anthology is her first major independent translation project. The collection includes 30 poems of different years, historical material about the life and work of the poet. The circulation of the book is modest, only 200 copies.
Several copies of this unique collection, including one with theVera Kukhareva’s autograph were passed to the library fund.
