The online meeting was organized for our colleagues from the A.S. Pushkin Minsk Regional Library, centralized city and district library systems of the capital region. Ms Aksana Knizhnikava, Director General of the National Library of Belarus, opened the event with a welcome speech.

The possibilities and advantages of the corporate acquisition of electronic resources through the Virtual Reading Room of the National Library, as well as an overview of databases for various categories of users of public libraries were introduced to the participants. Ms Maryja Damouskaja, Head of the Corporate Interaction Department made the presentation. Particular attention was paid to such an urgent issue as the algorithms for using electronic resources when organizing services in remote mode. Possibilities of promotion to the user environment and popularization of databases generated by public libraries of the Minsk region through their presentation at the Virtual Reading Room site were discussed.
