On September 16, the National Library of Belarus hosted a solemn meeting and a festive concert dedicated to the National Unity Day.
The event was attended by the Director General of the National Library of Belarus Aksana Knizhnikava, Head of the Pervomaisky District Administration of Minsk Dmitry Shashok, Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Oleg Gaidukevich, Deputy of the Minsk City Council of Deputies Vyacheslav Kuznetsov, Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Vadim Lakiza, senior priest of the memorial church in honor of all Saints and in memory of the victims who served our Fatherland Archpriest Alexy Vasin, leading specialist of the production center of the “Belarus film” studio Yuri Igrusha, youth representatives of the Pervomaisky district of Minsk.
The performance of the brass band of the 56th separate Signal Regiment, soloist of the State Academic Dance Ensemble of Belarus Valentina Alshanskaya and the model ensemble Zadorinka gave the event a festive mood.
The National Library of Belarus has prepared a book exhibition for the holiday. For the guests of the event, the library staff conducted a tour of the exhibition project "Diamonds of the Century", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the main library of Belarus.
The event was organized by the National Library of Belarus and the Administration of the Pervomaisky district of Minsk.
Visitors of the library can get acquainted with the book exhibitions "My Country-Belarus" and "Life in Poetry", prepared for the National Unity Day.
