On 21 April, within the framework of the XXIV International specialized forum on telecommunications, informational and bank technologies “TIBO”, the conference “Е-Culture – the electronic culture” was held.
The event, which took place in the conference hall number 1 of the Football Arena in Minsk, was organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus.
The Vice Minister Of Culture A. Yatsko welcomed the conference participants.
Heads and specialists of leading cultural institutions of the Republic of Belarus, representatives of IT companies of our country and employees of scientific institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus took part in the conference.
The reports, dedicated to information and communication technologies in the sphere of culture, covered various aspects of innovation in socio-cultural activities, promising areas of information and technological development and popularization of the historical and cultural heritage in the digital environment.
Specialists of the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, the Museum of the History of Minsk, the National Library of Belarus, the Republican Scientific and Technical Library etc. shared their unique experience in implementing modern information and communication technology in institutions’ activity.
Along with the representatives of state organizations, the heads and specialists of a number of IT companies (Astronim Systems LLC, Art Studio PRA, etc.) took an active part in the conference. They acquainted the conference participants with current proposals and innovative developments of domestic and foreign experts, applicable in professional work in the field of culture and arts.
