The library hosted "National objects in catalogues and databases of libraries of Belarus: a method of using UDC and authoritative records" training within the framework of the 7th International Congress "Library as a Cultural Phenomenon".
The reports on the trends in the development of regional studies of regional libraries in Belarus, on the current state and prospects of using the UDC, automated means of obtaining decryptions and lists of codes of the Belarusian-language UDC were considered. The training included the method of using UDC tables in the Belarusian language for indexing documents of local history, the peculiarities of forming an array of national files of the national database of authority records. The training provided methodological recommendations on the prospects for the development of UDC in the Belarusian language in Belarus.
