On November 25, the library hosted a seminar on "The role of open access initiatives in the information support of the international scientific-technical cooperation."
The report "The opportunities for international cooperation between Belarus and the European Union in the framework of EU programs for the period up to 2020: ICT in focus" was presented by Tatiana Lyadnova, the head of the department of international scientific-technical and innovation cooperation of the Belarusian Institute of System Analysis, and the head of the ICT National Contact Point (ICT NCP H2020).
Irina Kuchma, the head of programs for open access international consortium EIFL (Electronic information for libraries) made the report "Open access and open science in the Seventh Framework Programme and the Framework Programme of the European Union for Science and Innovation "Horizon 2020".
The report of the employee of the National Library of Belarus Vyacheslav Brichkovsky, the EIFL national coordinator in Belarus, was devoted to the methods and tools of scientometric analysis to improve the efficiency of research and international scientific cooperation.
The seminar was also attended by representatives of universities and libraries of Belarus.
During the discussions, the issues related to the digital transformation of scientific communication, using the resources of open access to innovation, and the integration of scientific and educational resources of the Republic of Belarus to the European information space were considered.
