On June 26, the National Library of Belarus summed up the results of the IV Republican contest "Library as the Center of Spiritual Education and Upbringing".
43 works from public libraries of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, libraries of educational establishments of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and other departments took part in the contest. The best works were given to the competent jury of the republican stage of the contest.
The Republican jury have determined winners in four categories: "Spiritual and moral education of children and youth", "History of Orthodoxy of the native land", "Family is the heir of moral and spiritual values", "Patriotic education on Orthodox traditions". As a result 29 competition works were nominated and awarded.
The jury consisted of: Bishop Borisovsky and Maryinahorkosky Veniamin (chairman of the jury); R. Motulsky, Director of the National Library of Belarus (deputy chairman of the jury); O. Rynkevich, chief librarian of the Library Science Department of the National Library of Belarus (secretary of the jury); S. Botyan, chief specialist of the Culture and Folk Art Department of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus; I. Bulavkina, chief specialist of the General and Secondary Education Department of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus; T. Samoylyuk, secretary of the Publishing Council of the Belarusian Orthodox Church; S. Vinogradova, Head of the Central Library of the Belarusian Exarchate; T. Kvasova, member of the Coordination Council for Library Activity at the Synodal Department of Religious Education and Catechetics of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.
After the protocol approval of the jury session by Metropolitan of Minsk and Pavel Zaslavsky, the Patriarchal Exarch of all Belarus, the information about the winners will be posted on the official websites of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, the National Library of Belarus, the Synodal Department of Religious Education and the Catechetics of the BOC and on the site "Orthodox Libraries of Belarus".
