The discussion platform "Sustainable development of libraries in the context of cultural and digital integration" was held on September 14 at the National Library of Belarus within the framework of the international congress "Universities of culture and arts in international humanitarian cooperation: global challenges and action strategy".

The initiators and leading organizers of the meeting were the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts and the Moscow State Institute of Culture in coordination with the Ministries of Culture of Belarus and Russia.

Olga Polunchenko, the Chief Bibliographer of the Department of Reference and Information Services, made a report on the role of the National Library of Belarus in meeting the information needs of citizens of the People's Republic of China studying in the field of culture and art. The most popular paid services for compiling and editing lists of literature for scientific works, cultural cooperation between Belarus and China in the library sphere, organization of art exhibitions and acquisition of the fund with literature on Chinese art were presented, attention was focused on the role of training sessions (in Russian and English) in the formation of information culture of citizens of the Celestial Empire.
