An event timed to the 200th anniversary of Stanislaw Moniuszko is to be held in the library, on April 24.
A new project of the National Library of Belarus titled Станіслаў Манюшка. Музычны рамантык з Міншчыны / Stanislaw Moniuszko. The Romantic Musician from the Land of Minsk will be presented during the event.
The project is implemented as part of the national action plan for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of our famous countryman. The anniversary of Stanislaw Moniuszko's birth has been put on the UNESCO Calendar 2019.
The first Belarusian digital edition about Stanislaw Moniuszko acquaints with the composer’s personality, his creative heritage and the staging of his works in Belarus. Part of the project is about honoring the memory of the composer in Belarus.
Users will be able to get acquainted with digitized music of the second half of the 19th – early 20th century from the collections of the National Library, as well as the records of Moniuszko’s music performed by contemporary musicians.
The event starts at 16.00, gallery “Labyrinth” (3rd floor).
