On January 19th at the gallery “Rakurs” at the National Library of Belarus took place the opening ceremony of the ІV International festival of the landscape dedicated to Vitaly Tsvirko.


Vitaly Tsvirko is the eminent Belarusian master of the landscape and national artist of Belarus whose works are remarkable for a masterly technique and a particular artistic sight. His artworks have become an important milestone in the history of Belarusian art; that is why the International festival of the landscape held for already the fourth time is called after the master’s name.

The exposition presents works by aquarellists, painters, masters of photography and graphics: V. Kozhukh, E. Batalyonok, V. Isachenko, Y. Gavrin, A. Zabavchik, V. Kachan, V. Pavlovets, S. Katkov and others.

F.A. Yastreb, the curator of the project, head of the gallery department of National Library of Belarus and chairman of the International Guild of Painters opened the festival. Besides, art critic and artist, Professor G.F. Shauro, painter V.K. Kostyuchenko and daughter of Vitaly Tsvirko Tatiana delivered the opening speeches. Guests of the event enjoyed musical performances by the dulcimer orchestra “Abyarog” of I.O. Akhremchik Gymnasium-College of Arts under the direction of Elena Avramenko.

The exhibition is open till February 11th 2010 at the galleries “Rakurs” and “Labyrinth” in National Library of Belarus.
