On July 12th, within the framework of the official visit to the Republic of Belarus, the Georgian parliamentary delegation visited the National Library of Belarus.
The delegation was headed by Chairman for European Integration of the parliament of Georgia David Darchiashvili.
Roman Motulsky, the Director of the National Library of Belarus welcomed the delegation.
The guests made a panoramic excursion of the Library and familiarized themselves with its activity, architectural features, equipment, information resources and interior design. Members of the delegation ascended the Observation platform and admired the picturesque panorama of the capital and the suburbs.
At the Book Museum the guests viewed the collection of rare editions from the Library’s stack. At the end of the meeting Chairman for European Integration of the parliament of Georgia David Darchiashvili wrote a memorable entry to the Guests of Honor Book. The Director of the National Library of Belarus presented souvenirs to Mr. Darchiashvili.
